Antigua and Barbuda ratified the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons today (November 25), becoming the 34º State party.
Only 16 additional ratifications are required for entry into force.
Antigua and Barbuda is the sixth member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to ratify the treaty.
Before Guyana, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and Dominica did.
In addition, three members of CARICOM have signed but not yet ratified the treaty: Grenada, Jamaica and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
