Culture of Peace and Nonviolence for Guayaquil

In the Planetarium of the Navy of Guayaquil, Ecuador, a “Day for a culture of Peace and Nonviolence” was held

The Planetarium of the Navy organized several activities to celebrate Nonviolence Day and the beginning of the 2ª World March for the peace.

The General Assembly of the United Nations established the October 2, as the International Day of Non-Violence, under this premise, since the October 1 of 2019, the Planetarium of the Navy in coordination with the World Without Wars Association and without Chapter Violence Ecuador joined this celebration and at the beginning of the 2 World March for Peace.

About 800 students from basic education schools, fiscal education units María Cleofé Silva Carrión, Rafael Morán Valverde, Adalberto Ortiz Quiñónez and the general public participated in a day whose objective was to encourage students a culture of peace, tolerance, understanding and nonviolence among all citizens of this planet.

Before each function, Ms. Silvana Almeida de Mundo sin Guerras explained to children and young people the types of violence that exist and the importance of commemorating this day, she also indicated the route that the base team of the 2.a World March will take place around of the world. On the other hand, visitors could also watch a video of Mahatma Gandhi, the main precursor of pacifism, whose philosophy is based on nonviolence.

At the end of each function, the officials of the Inocar Social Communication Unit They painted the hands of the students who left their mark on a gigantography elaborated for this purpose, as a sign of equality, respect and friendship.

In the same way and taking advantage of the excitement and interest shown by visitors made the human symbol of peace, which under the sound of the drone that recorded them and took pictures told the world no more violence.
