The coordinator of the March, Rafael de la Rubia, accompanied by Jesús Arguedas, Charo Lominchar and Encarna Salas, landed in the Galician city in the morning where they coincided with the Councilor for Sports, Jorge Borrego and the spokesman for the BNG municipal group, Francisco Jorquera, with whom they exchanged impressions on the journey made around the world.
In the afternoon they participated in a meeting with representatives of various groups participating in the World March: Galicia Aberta, Vangarda Obreira, Movemento Feminista da Coruña, Forum Propolis, Esquerda United, Atlantic Tide, Hortas do Val de Feáns, Galego Immigration Forum, Camping , Cuac FM and Mundo sen Guerras e sen Violencia.
It was exchanged about the world situation perceived in the tour of the planet made by the Base Team, about meetings with groups and institutions, about meetings with the Gorbachev Foundation and ICAN, on the proposal of the next Peace Nobel Summit and on the new proposals that have emerged in the dialogue with all groups.
The situation of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and the need to send information to the population and to give it participation in the campaign for the ratification of the Treaty were discussed.
Finally, the team left for Madrid where the closing events of the 2nd World March for Peace and Nonviolence will take place.
