On February 24, 2020, the base team arrived in Umag, Croatia, and was received by the two deputy mayor Mauro Jurman and Ivan Ivan Belušić.

The municipality had previously joined both the 2nd World March and the call to invite Croatia to join the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, as well as the call of the Palermo Peace and Human Rights Council for the creation of an Embassies Network of the Peace of the Mediterranean asking to do the same to the Slovenian municipality of Piran (next stage of the 2nd World March).

The two deputy mayor had the opportunity to discuss these and other issues with the La Marcha base team and Alessandro Capuzzo (supporter of the Peace Embassies Network) in transit through the city of Istria.

At the end of the meeting Rafaél de la Rubia, promoter of the 2nd World March, gave the two deputy mayor a copy of the book of the 1st World March with the signatures of the dealers present.
