The World March on the Peace Boat

Within the framework of the 2 World March, with the participation of the "Mediterranean Sea of ​​Peace", the March was presented in the Peace Boat.

In the cozy framework of the Peace Boat, Peace Boat of the Hibakushas, ​​and framed in the 2ª World March, and the efficient organizational work of the Peace Boat team, the November 5 held an act of presentation of the March.

The event was organized by the Promoter Team of the “Mediterranean Sea of ​​Peace” initiative and the World without Wars and Violence humanist association of Barcelona.

He had the invaluable collaboration of those responsible for the Peace Boat, embodied in Masumi.

Pressenza's documentary, The Beginning of the End of Nuclear Weapons, directed by Álvaro Orús and produced by Tony Robinson, was screened.

Images and drawings of activities for Peace were exhibited

Two exposures were shown:

  • The images of the journey through the peace trees of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (Green Legacy Hiroshima and Kaki Tree Project).
  • The drawings on peace made by children from all over the world, with the association "I colori della Pace" of Sant'Anna di Stazzema (Lucca), Italy.

Entities associated with ICAN participated in the event.

The sailors of the Bamboo sailboat of the Exodus Foundation and the crew of the “Nave di Carta”, who presented the project “Maditerraneo in Peace and free of nuclear weapons”.

We had the privilege of hearing the testimony and poetry of Noriko Sakashita, the survivor (Hibakusha) of the nuclear holocaust in Hiroshima.
