Antinuclear documentary screening in Lanzarote

The documentary “The beginning of the end of nuclear weapons” was screened in the town of Haría, Lanzarote

The documentary “The Beginning of the End of Nuclear Weapons” advocates for the banning of nuclear weapons.

It was screened this past January 17 at the La Tegala Center, in Haría, Lanzarote, (Las Palmas province).

 

The documentary, directed by Álvaro Orús (Spain) and produced by Tony Robinson (United Kingdom) for Pressenza - International Press Agency, was awarded the “Award of Merit” at the Accolade Global Film Competition.

The projection was promoted as an initiative of the 2nd World March for Peace and Nonviolence with the collaboration of several associations based on the island:

Lanzarote Clean; Papacría; Fight For Nature / United We Clean Lanzarote; Live Argana Neighborhood Movement and Movement 83.

After the screening, those present participated in a debate, moderated by Elena Molto.

Elena is a member of the team promoting the 2ª World March on the island of Lanzarote.
