University of the Balearic Islands together with the March

Ecuadorians were received by vice chancellor of this higher education center

Once the Base Team toured Morocco, they moved to the Canary Islands and took different routes there.

Martina Sicard of France continued to Mauritania where she had to coordinate the activities for the arrival of the founder of World without Wars, Rafael de la Rubia.

Charo Lominchar stayed in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to travel to Madrid along with the companions.

Ecuadorians Sonia and Gina Venegas continued to Palma de Mallorca, there they ended their journey with a visit to the University of the Balearic Islands.

The delegates of the Base Team were received by Dr. Rosa Rodríguez, vice-rector of this higher education center, who was very open to dialogue on the subject of World March, Peace and Active Nonviolence.

Sonia Venegas gave the educational authority the books of the first World, Central American and South American marches for the university library.

For her part, Dr. Rodríguez was very pleased with the visit and offered to intervene with the University Council in order to update them and try to organize events on the occasion of this great crusade for peace around the world.

Likewise, Sonia indicated that on November 5 the Base Team of Spain will meet in Barcelona to attend a great event on the occasion of the Peace Boat passing through some Mediterranean ports.

Also participating in this visit was the biologist Pia Da Silva, a member of the World Without War and Without Violence Association-Ecuador chapter who currently resides in Spain.

Finally, our compatriots returned to our country to continue preparing the passage of the World March during the second week of December 2019, through Ecuadorian territory.
