The October 2 is the United Nations Day of Nonviolence as the anniversary of Gandhi's birth.

The 2 of October of this year begins in Madrid the second World March for Peace and Nonviolence, passing through all the continents and returning to Madrid the 8 of March of 2020, International Women's Day.

10 years ago, the 1 of March of 2009 was received in Opicina by the students and then in the Aula Magna of Via Filzi by Mayor Dipiazza and the president of the Province of Lower Poropat, who signed the document that established the Interconfessional Table de la Paz: the performance of the choir of maestro Nossal also took place, applauded by the large audience present.

To inform institutions and citizens of the reception of the March that will go through Trieste on 26 on February 2020, initiatives are organized; Thus, for the exit of Madrid on October 2, the Danilo Dolci Peace and Life Committee and the World Without Wars association organized a symbolic meeting between Italian and Slovenian schools of the municipalities that have already joined the March 2, namely , Muggia, Dolina and Pirano in Slovenia.

The meeting will take place from 9 in the morning in the main hall of the Nazario Sauro de Muggia school in via D'Annunzio 48, the students will meet and talk about peace and the objectives of the March that will enter from Piran to Muggia on the morning of February 26.

The three mayors who supported the initiative have been invited.
