The AMI joins the "2 World March for Peace and Nonviolence", with a hiking trail.

Next December 11, the AMI celebrates International Mountain Day with a Route that departs at 10:00 from the Casa de los Peces, along the paths behind the Tower of Hercules towards the Menhirs of the Sculptural Park of the Hercules Tower and then go to the Parrote.

This year the International Mountain Day is aimed at young people.

Young people are guardians of the mountains and their natural resources, which are being threatened by climate change.

The theme of International 2019 Mountain Day is a great opportunity for young people to take initiative and appeal so that mountains and mountain villages are relevant in national and international development agendas, receive more attention, investments and specific research .

The day will also be an occasion to educate children about the role that mountains play in supporting a billion people living in the mountains and valleys by providing fresh water, clean energy, food and recreation.

The AMI has a Climbing and Mountain Base School where the values of these sports are transmitted to the smallest (overcoming, coexistence, companionship, respect for others and for the natural environment, ...)
