19:00 MENTAL HEALTH IN A BLACK MIRROR WORLD

Mental health is being increasingly questioned. From the madhouse past to the present of the stigma of psychiatric labels there is an incomplete path.

A new paradigm is breaking through the growing cracks in the psychiatric system. A broader and social vision of mental disorders is showing that not because they are more striking symptoms, the causes and influences of psychic suffering are very different from those of any other person, collective or circumstance. This more transversal and common vision to the rest of society results in forms of intervention and recovery with surprising effectiveness.

Claims on issues such as gender, migration, the ecological crisis, job insecurity, life in cities, the refugee crisis, air pollution, food, the crisis of family institutions, digital networks, the Difficult access to housing, etc. They provide new perspectives on the social determinants of health. Social justice favors health in all its aspects.

WILL INTERVENE:

Miguel Otero - Social integrator, therapeutic companion, community activator, clown student, crazy activist and schizophrenic in the reserve. He has been participating in different mental health projects at the state level since 2012.
