A Coruña against gender violence

On the occasion of the International Gender Nonviolence Day a solidarity event is held with a round table of professionals on the subject, a poetic recital and a Jam Session on November 23 in A Coruña

Within the wide range of activities that take place in many cities around the world, the “2 World March Pola Paz ea Nonviolencia” adds a solidarity event "Against gender violence" On Saturday, November 23, which will be held at the “A Repichoca” store, at C / Orillamar 13 in A Coruña.

The free entry event will feature the following activities:

From 19: 00 to 20: 00 ROUND TABLE

Four professionals will deepen the following topics:

"Differential socialization and its impact" By Ana Pousada Gómez (social educator) that will talk about the development of opposite gender identities.

"Public space and gender violence" In charge of Verónica Barros Villalobos (Social Psychologist) who will bring us closer to the issue of public space conditions and the implications of having them travel for women. The city walks differently when it is a woman.

"Gender violence in the media" In charge of Claudia de Bartolomé (journalist) who will tell us about common mistakes in the treatment of news about gender violence, based on women's rights.

"Comprehensive care in rural areas" In charge of Mª José Llado Sánchez (Psychopedagogue and agent of prevention of gender violence in rural areas) who will tell us experiences to intervene comprehensively in cases of rural violence and how to prevent with educational actions.

From 20: 15 to 20: 45 RECITAL POETIC

Several poets of our city will carry out a "Recital of poetry" and will give the opportunity to attendees to express themselves freely through the micro open. "

The invited poets will be: Pepa Díaz, Sara M. Bernard, Rilin, Lake de la Campa and Shadow, renowned poets who have been contributing their creativity in various artistic and solidarity events throughout the year.

During the day you can enjoy the photographic exhibition “ A story behind every look”Every photo goes
accompanied by a text where each protagonist tells us the feelings
Experienced with gender violence.

The event will conclude from 20: 45 with a JAM SESSION
