A colloquium on the roots of xenophobia and open borders, migration and democracy is established

Migrations, a thermometer of democratic health is a Colloquium organized by Imartgine.com, 2ª World March for Peace and Nonviolence, ESDIP School of Art in Madrid, the 26 of September.

It began with a reading and discussion of the books “My Brother Benjamin, beyond exile,” “Melilla without barbed wire” and “Stories for Peace” from the Saure publishing house.

The activity was organized in two tables: "The roots of xenophobia" and "open borders", which were moderated by Daniel Jiménez, documentary filmmaker on immigration issues.

The speakers at the first table: Victoria Eugenia Castrillón, Mentor of Migrant Families, Intercultural Mediator, Migration and Social Inclusion in Alma Latina, Aurora Cuadrado translator-interpreter, PhD in Jorge Semprún.

From the second: Martine Sicard of the association A world without wars, Fran Sauré, author awarded twice by the Fernando Buesa Foundation.

Closing ceremony by Rafael de la Rubia, coordinator of the 2ª World March for Peace and nonviolence.

While the debate was taking place, an ESDIP art school teacher made live illustrations on the stage table with the projection of his works on the screen.
