Rafael de la Rubia, promoter of the 3rd World March for Peace and Nonviolence and coordinator of the first two editions, explains to us, at the event that World without Wars and Violence has promoted in the Toledo Park Summer University, something must be done!
At this time when armed violence is rampant across our planet, promoted by warlords, international leaders, leaders of different countries and directors and owners of multinational arms companies, people whose only interest is to enrich themselves, even if only through cost of the lives, pain and suffering of millions of people, something must be done!
Those of us who walk the streets of this world, those of us who want to live in peace with our families, our sons and daughters, have to say something, we have to do something to change this panorama neither sought nor wanted by us. Something must be done!
We must do something to make it clear to the leaders of our countries, to world leaders and to the owners of the multinationals of hate and death, that we do not want their wars, that we do not want their violence, that we do not want a world in which that day after day we citizens enjoy fewer personal resources due to the increase in the price of food and commonly used products, that we increasingly have fewer resources at a social level, because the existing ones are diverted towards maintaining their wars, killing innocent
Thus, in the face of this situation, World without Wars and Violence together with the World March for Peace and Nonviolence association and other associations from around the planet, promote the 3ª World March for Peace and Nonviolence, which will travel around the world carrying out exemplary actions that promote peace and nonviolence.
The 3rd World March will begin in San José, Costa Rica on October 2, 2024 and will end, also in San José, Costa Rica, on January 5, 2025.
They propose to involve as many people as possible at the individual level and at the organizational level to promote exemplary actions, actions that spread peace and nonviolence and, at the same time, serve the benefit of the communities in which they are carried out.
Thank you so much for your great work!
