The World March arrives in Italy

The Second World March for Peace and Nonviolence arrives in Italy after having traveled all the continents and before concluding its world tour in Madrid

After having traveled all the continents and before concluding his world tour in Madrid, from where he left on October 2 last year, the Second World March for Peace and Nonviolence arrives in Italy with a rich program of activities.

The Second World March for Peace and Nonviolence will arrive on February 26 to Trieste from its Balkan route and will remain in Italy until March 3. Given the large number of planned activities in many Italian cities, protesters will be divided into several groups to attend all activities, some of them at the same time.

The Italian Promoter Team of the March recalls that the spirit of the march is that, beyond the main route and where the protesters are physically at any given time, a continuous attention to the objectives of the march: the prohibition of nuclear weapons and nuclear disarmament, the reestablishment of the United Nations, the creation of conditions for the sustainable development of the planet, the integration of countries in areas and regions through the adoption of socio-economic systems to ensure the well-being of all, overcoming of all forms of discrimination, the dissemination of the culture of nonviolence.

In this sense, numerous activities promoted by the different local promotion committees have already been carried out; In particular, the “Mediterraneo Mare di Pace” (Mediterranean Sea of Peace) initiative started from Italy, which took the ship “Bamboo” through the ports of the Mediterranean in November last year.
