Memory Day 2020 in Begliano

Memory Day 2020 in Begliano - San Canzian d'Isonzo (Italy), was celebrated with the music of the Balkan Boys and a lot of participation.

With the music of the Balkan Boys that opened the evening proposed by the ANPI of San Canzian d'Isonzo with the sponsorship of the municipalities of Divača (Slo) and San Canzian d'Isonzo dedicated to the Holocaust.

In addition to a large audience were the mayor of San Canzian d'Isonzo and a delegation from Divača (Slo).

Professor Ferruccio Tassin, with his great capacity for communication, proposed a path that led us from the Nazi concentration camps to the fascist concentration camps.

In particular to those close to us in Visco and Gonars, not forgetting the San Sabba rice mill, a Nazi-fascist lager, located in the city of Trieste, used as a police detention camp (Polizeihaftlager), as well as for the transit or killing of a large number of prisoners, mostly political or Jewish prisoners.

His speech was dotted with poems written even by survivors: modesty and the absence of hatred emanating from him is difficult to conceive.

The night ended as it began with the music of the Balkans Boys that thrilled the great audience: the last piece could not be anything other than Bella Ciao, sung by everyone.
