On Sunday 18 / 09 / 2019, people from the city of Cotia and neighboring municipalities attended the program of the 2ª edition of the Walk for a Culture of Peace, which took place on Sunday 18, in Cotia. The event was attended by the World March for Peace and Nonviolence, various cultural, ethnic, religious and popular movements.

The Walk is carried out by the Cotia City Council, through the Secretariat of Sports, Culture and Leisure, and by the Peace Commission, made up of the Department of Culture and representatives of civil society: Casa de Airá - Tradition and Culture; Gira-Sol Institute; Olê Orixá Obá Ayrá House; Temple of Flight Lázaro de Aruanda and The Message of Silo - Parque de Estudos e Reflexão Caucaia.
