Fiumicello: “Women's Voices” evenings

In relation to the “Day against Violence against Women”, in Fiumicello Villa Vicentina, Italy, activities between November 25 and 29

In relation to the “International Day against Violence against Women”, the “Voci di Donne” Association together with the Municipality of Fiumicello Villa Vicentina organized the event “NO to violence against women. Because one day is not enough…”

In addition to the placement of the “Red Bench” in Piazzale dei Tigli, two events of great importance were held, during which the main themes of the World March for Peace and Non-Violence were presented.

Wednesday November 27

Film screening “Back” (2006) by Pedro Almodóvar, which addresses the issue of violence (all forms of violence!) against women explicitly, but also discreetly.

The screening was followed by a very participatory and in-depth debate, led by film critic Eleonora Degrassi and by Nunzia Acampora and Caterina Di Dato, operators of the “SOS Rosa” Anti-Violence Center in Gorizia.

Thursday November 28

In the “Bisonte” Theater Hall, Marta Cuscunà presented “THE INGANNATA SEMPLICIT”, a satire for actresses and puppets about the “luxury” of being a woman.

The show tells the story of the collective destiny of generations of girls and the opportunity to get the choir to change it.

The text is freely inspired by the literary works of Arcangela Tarabotti and the story of the “Poor Clares” of Udine.

The public responded very positively with a great presence.
