Fiumicello: “Women's Voices” evenings

In relation to the “Day Against Violence against Women”, in Fiumicello Villa Vicentina, Italy, activities between the 25 and the November 29

In relation to the “International Day against Violence against Women”, the Association “Voci di Donne” together with the Municipality of Fiumicello Villa Vicentina organized the event “NO to violence against women. Because one day is not enough… ”

In addition to the placement of the “Red Bank” in Piazzale dei Tigli, two important events were held, during which the main themes of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence were presented.

Wednesday November 27

Screening of the film “Back”(2006) by Pedro Almodóvar, who addresses the issue of violence (all forms of violence!) Against women explicitly, but also with discretion.

The screening was followed by a very participatory and profound debate, directed by film critic Eleonora Degrassi and Nunzia Acampora and Caterina Di Dato, operators of the Gorosia “SOS Rosa” Anti-Violence Center.

Thursday November 28

In the Theater Hall "Bison", Marta Cuscunà presented "THE INGANNATA SEMPLICIT”, A satire for actresses and puppets about the“ luxury ”of being a woman.

The show tells the story of the collective destiny of generations of girls and the opportunity to get the choir to change it.

The text is freely inspired by the literary works of Arcangela Tarabotti and the story of the "Poor Clares" of Udine.

The public responded very positively with a great presence.
