Peoples of Senegal celebrate the March

On 30 and 31, the base team of the 2 World March visited the villages of N'diadiane, in the region of M'bour - Thiès and Bandoulou, in the Kaolack region.

Two villages in Senegal celebrate the 2ª World March.

In both cases, it is thanks to the action carried out for years by the association Energy for Human Rights, which has raised schools and cultural centers in both villages, which could organize these events.

On the 30th, in N'diadane, part of the commune of Sessene, which coast of 19 villages with a total of 3300 inhabitants, it was possible to visit in the morning the nursery school, the cultural center with the library as well as the garden with its well.

Then there were some exchange tables around the issues of environment, human rights, women and education.

In the afternoon at the ceremony to welcome the March, coordinated by Thierno N'Gom, Mayor Paul Séne participated, accompanied by M'Baye Séne, the village chief, the imam and the village priest.

After the different shots of words, including those of Rafael de la Rubia and Martine Sicard by the team of the 2 World March, tribute was paid to the figure of Maissa Gueye, who died in November and the origin of the project of the place.

A theatrical performance followed about early weddings and political violence followed by traditional rituals with music and dance.

The next day the village of Bandoulou was visited

The 31 day in Bandoulou, from the commune of N'diaffate, after the visit to the village in the shade of baobabs, the same plan was followed with the working groups around the issues of environment, human rights, women, education, Health.

There was a participation of all young men, which led to wondering about the respective roles of men and women.

There was a very dynamic exchange before commenting on the respective syntheses.

Festive activities had been suspended due to the recent death of a village woman giving birth, due to lack of adequate health care ...
