The Association of Independent Mountaineers (AMI) made a route that left the Casa de los Peces, along the paths behind the Tower of Hercules to the Menhirs of the Sculpture Park of the Tower of Hercules and then to the Parrote.

250 young sports enthusiasts participated in the “International Mountain Day 2019” being a good opportunity to educate children about the role that mountains play in supporting one billion people living in the mountains and valleys by providing water Sweet, clean energy, food and recreation.

The teams of the historic sports society “Tower Club"Competed with a selection of players from the different sports clubs of A Coruña organized by the"AFAC"(Amateur Football Association of A Coruña)

Throughout the morning, 350 boys and girls from 4 to 18 years old participated in the categories: Initiation, PreBenjamines, Benjamines, Alevines, Infantiles, Cadets, Juveniles y Femenino from the great sports family of Club Torre highlighting the values ​​of companionship, competition and joint learning and solidarity.

During the day, "solidarity plastic caps" were also collected to donate to the association "TO BE”(Help overcome Rare Diseases)

Likewise, the 2nd World March will be present in the popular race “Half Marathon C21” on February 16, where participants will walk through the streets of the city center in a 2-lap tour; the first of 9.339 m. long and the second of 11.758,5 ​​m. approx., which between the two will cover 21.097,5 meters.

The spokeswoman for the World March in Coruña, will deliver one of the trophies to the participants in such an important sporting event.
